Safran Aircraft Engines, a leader in aerospace propulsion, specializes in the design, production, and support of engines for commercial and military aircraft. With a commitment to innovation and reliability, Safran drives advancements in engine efficiency and sustainability. My work with Safran focused on developing a branding identity for their Business Projects office, reflecting the precision and excellence at the core of their mission.

OPERATIONS

Safran’s Business Operations division in North America focuses on supporting engine management and customer relationships in the U.S. and Canada. I developed a logo for them. The design was based on an initial sketch provided by the team, refining it into a professional identity that reflects the office’s role and its cross-border focus within North America

REQUIREMENTS

To design an effective logo, it’s essential to understand key client requirements. Each element serves a purpose, from representing market areas to evoking a specific tone. Balancing these needs with aesthetic appeal ensures a unique, fitting identity.

01. FLAGS
Incorporate the U.S. and Canada flags in the eagle’s wings to represent the markets the team serves.
02. PROTECTION
Use engine elements as eagle’s "eggs" in a nest, symbolizing engine maintenance and protection for customers.
03. FIERCENESS
Capture a strong and bold look for the eagle, emphasizing its protective and powerful qualities.
04. UNIQUENESS
Ensure the logo is unique, reflecting the team’s identity and purpose effectively.

LOGO JOURNEY

These alternative logo concepts showcase the exploration of various designs that contributed to the final choice. Each option reflects different aspects of the brand, offering unique visual directions. Though ultimately set aside, these designs were key in refining and honing the final logo.

MOCKUPS

Presenting the logo through realistic mockups allows us to visualize how it will perform in real-world settings. By testing the logo on different materials, contexts, and formats, mockups help ensure adaptability and impact across applications. This phase is essential for fine-tuning details and gaining a more tangible sense of the logo's effectiveness before full deployment.
